ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Mondi will actively strive for recognised high level environmental performance in�our operations.

  • We�will aim to�achieve this by�integrating Cleaner Production principles into our business strategy including the supply chain from sourcing of�raw materials, production processes and transportation of�products.
  • We�will make efficient use of�raw materials and energy, encourage recycling, minimise waste, and maximise the use of�renewable resources.
  • We�will focus on�Innovation in�order to�improve our environmental performance and apply best available technology in�all new projects. We�will continuously work towards minimising the environmental impacts of�our operations. Compliance with all environmental laws and regulations is�a�basic requirement.
  • We�will implement certified, internationally recognised environmental management systems in�all our operations which have a�significant environmental impact. Employees responsible for environmental performance will be�trained and empowered to�ensure responsible environmental management of�our operations.
  • We�are committed to�understanding and responding to�public-health and environmental impacts of�our operations and products. Environmental programs with clear objectives and annually reviewed targets will be�set by�all operations to�support Mondi�s�Environmental policy and commitment to�continual improvement.
  • We�will measure our environmental performance and report publicly and transparently on�our performance.
  • We�review and audit our policies and performance both internally and externally on�an�annual basis.
  • Mondi will influence suppliers of�goods and services to�apply the same high standards of�environmental performance.
  • Mondi will be�open to�and actively engage in�dialogue with stakeholders and will communicate openly on�environmental matters.
